Your Voice Counts - student and parent survey
Each year, Thomas Street Middle School runs a school-wide survey to identify areas of concern within the school.
Staff and students participate in the survey, which is completely anonymous, and results can help make a better school environment.
Common question from students:
Q. If I sign in with my student ID how can the survey be anonymous?
A. You log in to the survey with your employee or student ID for two reasons:
- When your responses are submitted, the survey is marked as complete, allowing response rates to be calculated.
- Demographic information, such as gender and grade level, is automatically retrieved so that comparisons in the survey data can be made. This demographic information is saved with your responses, but the user ID is not. The program has been set up so that there is no way to link the survey responses back to the user ID, and there is no way for any board employee to identify an individual user's responses. As a final measure of anonymity, survey responses are not date-stamped
